Dr Carr is from Sydney and after doing an engineering degree, completed her MB BS at the University of Sydney. Committed to rural medicine from the outset, she moved to Tamworth to do her internship at the base hospital. Between growing her family, Dr Carr managed to find time to fit in General Practice training and gained her fellowship of the RACGP. Dr Carr enjoys all aspects of general practice and is particularly interested in Aboriginal Health, children’s health and the prevention and management of chronic disease. During her spare time Heather enjoys spending time with her family, sport and gardening.
